First, let me say that it’s great to be back! I'm excited to get the newsletter up and running again after our year on hiatus.
Early last year, I decided to pause Boobbatical operations while I joined forces with old colleagues to help an organization re-establish its employee experience. I’ve taken part in my fair share of acquisitions and mergers, but nothing could prepare me for the whirlwind of work separating a company creates. While ripe with exciting opportunities, the long hours at the expense of quality family time were a great reminder why it’s so critical to continue pushing Boobbatical’s mission forward.
Second, looking ahead to this year, we have a brand-new website launched and ready to accelerate our ability to demystify breastfeeding for the workplace. The overhaul of the site should be relatively seamless to you. Most of what we changed was backend functionality, but we did take the opportunity to make updates to the layout in some areas. I hope you love it as much as I do!
Last, a quick highlight on new content. As a follow-up from our conversation guide for managers, we posted tips on how to celebrate expectant team members. Believe it or not, there is a way to shower the mom-to-be with gifts and well wishes before baby’s arrival that can help solidify her loyalty to her team and the organization.
